Before the appointment:
- Call or email to book your appointment with Port Cosmetic Clinic.
- For 1 week prior to your appointment, avoid Aspirin and Vitamin E.
- For 24 hours prior to your appointment, avoid exercise and alcohol as this can increase the risk of bruising.
During the appointment:
- Arrive at the studio and be greeted by Joyce’s smiling face.
- The first 20-30 minutes involves talking with Joyce about what you are hoping to achieve and to ensure that you know what is involved in your treatment.
- You will have a video call with a doctor who will take a brief medical history and clear you to go ahead with the treatment.
- Once you are comfortable to continue with your Wrinkle Reduction treatment, you will sign a consent form.
- Joyce will then administer the treatment through a tiny needle and syringe into the area you want to treat. This is quite painless and only takes a minute or two and then you are free to leave. The whole appointment generally takes around 1 hour.
After the appointment:
- It’s a good idea to remain upright for 4 hours after the treatment to ensure the product is absorbed into the correct muscle.
- Over the following few days you will gradually have reduced movement in the affected muscle and by day 14 the Wrinkle Reduction treatment will have reached it’s maximum effect.
- The treatment will last approximately 4 months and the movement will gradually return to the area.
- To get maximum lasting results, it’s advisable to return to the studio for a follow-up treatment just before the movement returns. Your ongoing appointments will generally take less than 30 minutes.
